Aug 28 School Board Meeting Agenda; Sept 26 Town Hall

Welcome back to school! I am exhausted after volunteering for just a handful of hours in kindergarten today and truly don’t understand how teachers do what they do.

There are a substantial number of items on the Consent agenda for tomorrow night, and a handful of Discussion/Action items including admin contracts, a district communications plan (with some interesting data to review), information about the parcel tax oversight committee, and an update on projects completed over the summer. It looks like we will be having a public discussion of the yearbook incident in September, so stay tuned for that.

Please Save the Date for a Town Hall on September 26, 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Malaga Cove Library. I have invited proponents and opponents of the school bond to share their perspectives, and I will provide my assessment of things regarding the bond and a number of other pressing issues. I will take questions in person and in advance. Please RSVP and share your comments/questions/concerns here.
